>>Faculty Refresh Workshops
Looking to start the semester on a strong note? Join new and returning faculty and graduate students for interactive sessions designed to refresh your teaching, research, and writing. Sessions are open to all members of the Mason community – come with a friend or to meet new colleagues with similar interests. Our Faculty Refresh workshops will be held on Tuesday afternoon, August 23.

>>Legos for Learning!
Do you have legos collecting dust at home? CTFE is accepting donations (JC 241) now-9/15 of gently used or new legos to create collaborative active learning kits. Once available, faculty will be able to check them out to use with their students. Curious about how to use these in teaching college? Join us 9/16 for the Innovations in Teaching & Learning conference (2016 Theme: Cultivating creative and reflective learners) and the pre-conference workshop (9/15) on Lego Serious Play led by keynote Alison James. >>INNOVATIONS in TEACHING & LEARNING (ITL) conference–Registration open!
Join us Friday, Sept. 16th from 8:30-5:30 for a day of 30+ conference sessions (led by Mason instructors) that describe or demonstrate strategies, activities, and assignments that challenge students to embrace learning as a creative and reflective process.
